Research Grant Opportunity The California Cultural Data Project (California CDP) was launched in 2008 as an online management tool designed to strengthen California's arts and cultural organizations. Now that the California CDP has been in place, the California CPD Working Group seeks California based organizations to utilize CDP information to analyze the arts and culture sector of our state. CAC "Occupies" NEA's Facebook Remember that Facebook "10K Race" last fall--when Arizona and California raced to become the first arts agency in the nation to reach 10,000 Facebook "likes?" Well, as you might recall, we won. And to celebrate this signal achievement (ahem), the National Endowment for the Arts is giving us their Facebook page for a week! Arts Council Director Speaks Out in Blog Interview Craig Watson, the Director of the California Arts Council, started his job last August. SEE BLOG NEA Chair Comes to CA Feb 21-23 National Endowment for the Arts Chairman Rocco Landesman will visit Woodland and Los Angeles on February 21-23, 2012. The California Arts Council plans on joining him during his trip, as well as occupying the NEA Facebook page while Chairman Landesman is in the state. Statewide Network Application Open The California Arts Council announces that the application is now available for the 2011-12 Statewide Networks Program. The goal of the Statewide Networks Program is strengthen an organization's capacity and delivery of services to its constituents through communications, professional development opportunities, networking and arts advocacy.
