Arts Funding Update: Senate Bill 1432SB 1432 (Lieu), a bill proposing a partial restoration of the California Arts Council budget, passed out of the Governmental Organization Committee 6-3 on Tuesday, April 8. Next stop: the Appropriations Committee. This bill would continuously appropriate the sum of $25M annually from the General Fund to the Arts Council to be used for grants.
