CAC's grant season is in full swing!

We’re awarding $21.3 million to arts and culture projects supporting access, equity, and inclusion; community vibrancy; and arts learning - $5 million more than in the prior fiscal year. Applications are now available for 14 grant programs - find your fit and apply today!

Open call for panelists: New honorarium offered for service

The search continues for arts and culture field experts to serve as part of a California Arts Council peer-review panel for the 2018-19 grant season. For the first time this year, panelists will receive an honorarium for their service in Sacramento. Young professionals and experienced cultural workers, artists, and arts policy makers are encouraged to apply as soon as possible - deadlines are November 15 and January 15. Complete details can be found here.

November webinars: Register now

Mark your calendars: The CAC will offer four program-specific webinars in November - taking a deeper dive into our Creative California Communities, Youth Arts Action, JUMP StArts and Reentry Through the Arts, and Veterans in the Arts programs. Opportunity: Creative Strategy Consultant RFP

The California Arts Council is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop vision and values; strategic framework; and brand identity and messaging for the agency. The CAC aims to “break the mold” with a forward-thinking, bold, innovative and dynamic approach. Details are available here.

Arts organizations: Become an Arts in Corrections contractor

The California Arts Council is seeking proposals from arts organizations interested in providing arts programming to inmates at state adult correctional facilities through the agency's Arts in Corrections program. The Request for Proposals (RFP) aims to contract with Coordinating Organizations in order to further diversify the art disciplines and increase the number of current programs available based on the needs of the institutions.
