Celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month on Instagram

Show Your Art is a social media campaign created by Americans for the Arts designed to promote awareness of National Arts and Humanities Month and engage the public in celebrating the power and diversity of the arts in our lives. This year's campaign, #ShowYourArt2020, once again features a unique theme for each day in October to inspire you to express yourself. Individuals and organizations can share images and video on your Instagram grid, stories, and reels following the daily unique themes-and whether you post once or 31 times, you're a part of the movement! Tag @americans4arts for an opportunity for Americans for the Arts to share your posts throughout the month. Get the details for the daily themes here.

Disaster relief resources for artists & communities

Our hearts are with all those affected by the wildfires currently burning throughout California. The CAC maintains a webpage dedicated to resources for our state's artists and arts organizations impacted by loss or damage in the aftermath of natural disasters. For more information, visit www.arts.ca.gov/resources/recovery.

Arts in Corrections: Training Organizations RFP

The California Arts Council is currently accepting proposals from organizations interested in providing training to current Arts in Corrections Coordinating Organizations in the areas of healing-centered best practices, race and equity, restorative and transformative justice, and strategic partnerships. In a conscious effort to simplify the submission process and increase access, equity, and inclusion among interested organizations, the RFP includes plain-language templated forms, instructions, and an informational webinar for submission guidance. Submissions are due on or before October 30.

CA Alliance for Arts Education local advocacy webinars

The California Alliance for Arts Education is offering a series of webinars throughout the fall of 2020, examining different roles and strategies for local arts advocacy opportunities. The next webinar in the series, on October 14 at 3:30 p.m. PDT, teaches participants how they can effect change on the local level by engaging their school board candidates.
